Slapdash Sunday is a day for your proverbial week ‘leftovers.’ Is there something you wanted to say, but just forgot? Is there something you want to write about, but isn’t worth a whole page? Do you have a random thought, funny or otherwise that needs to be written down?
That is what Slapdash Sunday is for!
     This weeks topic:  Time
I now realize how much time it takes to read review books in a timely manner, writing reviews,  participating in memes, visiting others’ blogs and keeping my blog current and updated.  A positive in my slow post operative recuperation is that I have time to do all of the above.  But I know this won’t last.  So I was wondering how do you allocate your time between the above and then activities of daily life, be it job, household needs and just “real life” in general.

Do you have a schedule?  Do you give yourself time limits?  How much time do you spend on household, reading and blog upkeep?  How do you juggle it all?

  1. I think everyone just does the best they can – I know I always feel like I'm behind!

  2. I know what you mean. I work full time, so I try to get a little blog work done in the morning before I go to work and a little at night. I have a spreadsheet of the ARC's I've received and when a review should be posted, if at all. I would love to have more time, but like bermudaonion says you do the best you can and that's all you can do.

  3. Hmmm–I blog off and on pretty much all day. I read back and forth on the way to work (I take mass transit) and on my lunch break at work, and then again in bed at night. Blogging and reading our my two hobbies (at the moment). I don't really have a time table or anything. Also, my husband works out of town during the week, so that allows me a lot of "me" time.

  4. Time if only I more of it! I blog ahead of time and have my Tumblr allocate the pre published date for me. For the actual memes I like to go on the day. Reviews are written on the Fridays or early Sat when everyone is still in bed. Once done off we go to enjoy the weekend. Sometimes it works… sometimes it doesn't. Just go with the flow but most importantly enjoy it. Space out what needs to be reviewed first (eg ARCs, review copies etc) and ensure your own desired readings are there. Have FUN FIRST and don't dread it. We're all in the same boat… if only we could have MORE TIME!
