Saturday Memes

SATURDAY

From Danielle’s blog:

We all leave our “footprint” on the world, in one way or another. We each, individually, do something or are someone that makes the world a little better just by being here. I created this weekly meme to get to know the blogging community I love just a bit better. To know what makes them tick, outside of books, that is. Each week I will post a question to be answered in the following week’s “A Bit of Me(Me)”. Check back each Saturday to get the info for next week’s post and link up with your current post right here.
This week’s question:  What is your favorite type of art? Or do you happen to have a favorite painting/artist/sculpture/etc.?

I have always been drawn toward art work that captures scenic and/or landscapes. For me, there is such a feeling of peace, tranquility, calm and the reminder of the beauty around us that we take for granted every day.

  1. I love scenic art, too, especially the kind with country cottages or farmhouses. Like your barn in the one painting.

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

  2. I love art that is something I know what it is. I like paintings of animals, flowers, and scenic painting are lovely.

  3. Ooh. That's a great question. I like a wide variety of art. I'm a big fan of nature photographs. However, I think my all time favorite would be pen and ink art.

  4. I have always been drawn to scenic art, especially water scenes. Born under the fish sign, I guess that's understandable.

  5. I do happened to have a favorite art. It's the ones that make it to my refrigerator that the grandkids give me. ~hehe~ Stop at my blog and see "Baby" She's got an owie boo boo as the kids would say. What a day & she's walking around here on 3 legs. She's pathetic! our poor baby! Miss you! Hugs… BS (and if you say BS stands for you know what I'm tellin')!!!

  6. What a fun idea!! I love scenery painting as well. Especially anything with a body of water as the focus point. So beautiful, calming and relaxing.

  7. I hesitated in putting photography down as my favourite art form too. Most of my own photography is scenic, and I so agree with its soothing effect. I love mountains myself.
