GIVEAWAY ENTRY PAGE "THE ARRIVALS ENDED

MAY 25th to JUNE 8th, 2011
THE ARRIVALS
Photobucket
by MEG MTCHELL MOORE
SYNOPSIS:
It’s early summer when Ginny and William’s peaceful life in Vermont comes to an abrupt halt.

First, their daughter Lillian arrives, with her two children in tow, to escape her crumbling marriage. Next, their son Stephen and his pregnant wife Jane show up for a weekend visit, which extends indefinitely when Jane ends up on bed rest. When their youngest daughter Rachel appears, fleeing her difficult life in New York, Ginny and William find themselves consumed again by the chaos of parenthood – only this time around, their children are facing adult problems.
By summer’s end, the family gains new ideas of loyalty and responsibility, exposing the challenges of surviving the modern family – and the old adage, once a parent, always a parent, has never rung so true.

  1. I definitely believe that once a parent, always a parents. It's like the P&G commercial that says "to their moms, they'll always be kids"

  4. "Once a parent, always a parent?". I absolutely believe that and feel like having adult children is just another stage of living. A very different stage. LOL

Drop my name in the hat, Cheryl.

  5. Oh, yes, my mom was parenting until just before she passed away. She did, however, relinquish the reins to me to take over for her the care and feeding of the rest of the family. Of course, we are all adults but I have to see if anyone needs anything, especially my sister.

  6. I do believe that once a parent always a parent. Once you are a parent it is for life. They will always be your babies even when they are all grown up. Please enter me in contest. I am a follower and email subscriber. Tore923@aol.com

  7. I definitely believe that. Once you are in charge of another human being, you do everything you can to make sure they are safe. Your instincts are extremely heightened. This isn't something you can just turn off once your child comes of age. You will always be watching out for them.

  8. Once a parent, always a parent? Well, my baby is 33 and happily married but I still worry about him and will always be his mom!

Thanks for a chance at this book as it is high up on my wish list!

  9. Very much so – you never stop worrying over your children no matter what age they are!

  10. I definitely do. My "kids" are 25 and 28 and my feelings towards them are still the same. I'd love to protect them and take care of them, though I know they are on their own and maybe don't need me as much. The feelings never go away.

  11. Yes, I don't think it's something you can just spot. Children are forces of nature. 😀

  12. I totally believe once a parent, always a parent. If you have done your job correctly raising your child, even when they go out on thir own into the real world as an adult, it's always mom and dad they're going to want to advise and assist them with troubling issues, major life questions, the most difficult and best moments of their lives. It's why parenthood is the most difficult thing you'll veer do but hopefully, it's also the most rewarding.

Thank you for this great giveaway!

  13. Yes, I believe in Once a parent, always a parent.
I believe that your children will come to their parent for guidance and questions even as they grow older.

  15. I definitely believe once a parent always a parent. My three grown sons all know the door is always open. And now for my grandsons as well.
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  16. I believe that once a parent always a parent, though there sure are some horrible parents out there. lol

    sassysasha817 at gmail dot com

  17. Yes, I belive that once a parent always a parent. You never stop worrying about your children and you always want what's best for them.
    mittens0831 at aol dot com

  18. I absolutely believe in the adage — if you're a good parent that is.
patricia dot mariani dot esq at gmail dot com

  19. I do agree to some degree. Once you've experienced someone calling you 'mom', it's hard not to turn and look to see if it's your child when you hear another child turn and say 'mom'
    cleaningrhouse at yahoo dot com

  20. Firmly – once you are a parent you are always a parent, but it changes and grows as your children grow. I also firmly believe that we do not owe our children beds and money after a certain age (if one chooses to do that, well that is their choice) but that we must raise them to be responisble, funcioning members of society. It is allot harder than I thought it would be LOL.
    tracyschultz@yahoo.com

  21. I think it's true, that once you raise kids you never stop thinking about them.
    mce1011 AT aol DOT com

  22. I do believe that adage…just because our kids grow up doesn't mean they stop being our babies

theresa _ heppner at yahoo dot com

  23. i believe it for myself but when i see on the news all of these mothers and fathers killing their children it makes me really wonder if its not true and some people really just dont care 🙁
    deadmonkeys90@yahoo.com

  24. Absolutely I do, I still go to my parents for advice and lets be honest they overrule me when we are with them and their parents overrule them when we are all together..oldest parent wins rule and all..

  25. I sure do. It's going to be a constant thing to worry about the well-being of your kids!
    heatherpooh (hotmail)

  26. Yes I agree. my mom continues to worry about me and give me advice now that i am a grown adult.
    Jesskaufman at hotmail dot com

  27. Oh yes, for my wife and I, truer words were never spoken. . . .
