EBOOK INTERNATIONAL GIVEAWAY ENTRY PAGE "THE UNDERTAKER" ENDED

JULY 13th to JULY 27th, 2011
THE UNDERTAKER

by WILLIAM E. BROWN
SYNOPSIS (borrowed from Amazon):
Pete Talbott is a California native and harried Boston computer wonk still grieving over the death of his wife Terri, when he found himself at the wrong end of Gino Parini’s .45 reading his own obituary torn from that morning’s newspaper. Talbott figured it was all a big mistake until Parini showed him his wife’s obituary too, and this was a mystery Talbott couldn’t leave alone. From a funeral home in Indiana, to car chases on the Dan Ryan, a bloody Back Bay townhouse, snipers in New York City’s Washington Square, sleazy lawyers, corrupt County sheriffs, mafia hit men, the FBI, an army of Chicago cops, and that unforgettable scene in the upper berth of an Amtrak Train, “The Undertaker” is a thrill ride with a touch of humor and romance. Someone with a penchant for sharp scalpels and embalming tables is planting bodies under other people’s names; and if Talbott doesn’t stop them, he and his quirky new girlfriend, Sandy Kasmarek, will be next on the Undertaker’s list.

  4. Since I stopped reading the obits, that probably won't happen. But, if it did, I'd probably try to enjoy my last cup of coffee.

  5. I would love to read this book. It sounds very good. If I saw my name in the obituary I would probably just ignore because there are alot of people who have the same name. Tore923@aol.com

  6. WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU SAW YOUR NAME IN THE OBIT COLUMN? — I would figure it was just someone else with the same name?!?!

  7. Since my name is fairly rare (at least the last name), I would certainly check with the paper about who and when it was inserted.

  8. actually I have seen my name in a
obituary before and it is really eerie let me tell you. it makes you look at it again to make sure you read it right and to make sure it isnt you, just someone with the exact same name.

  10. Ha Ha ~ If I saw my name in the obits I'd call my husband and ask what the heck happened? Why didn't someone tell me I died?
    Thanks for the giveaway.

  11. I think I might first laugh until noticing details that reflect my own, then freak out and call the paper.
