This week’s question:
What’s the ONE GENRE that you wish you could get into, but just can’t?

My answer:
I actually have 2.  One being the classics.  The other being the hot new rage of paranormals.  With the classics, I think it’s because when I was in HS it was mandatory to read and I just couldn’t identify with the characters or feel comfortable with the dialect.  And as far as the PN, there is no relatability at all.  Vampires?  No…not for me.

  1. Top online shops are Amazon and ebay.

I would love to read more classics but they do take a lot of time and concentration so it is a genre I neglect. 🙁

    Have a great weekend, Cheryl.

  2. No I don't shop online.

I do read some classics, but, mostly the only classics I enjoyed were Jane Austens books. A genre I wish I could get into, oh, I don't know. At this time in my life, I am pretty content with what I read for entertainment. And I agree with you, about PN and Vampires, etc they are not for me.

  3. I tend to buy from Amazon and Smashwords mostly. I agree on vampires, werewolves et al, not my thing but so many people rave about them I wonder what I'm missing.

  4. I have a hard time with the classics too. I think part of it comes from it being required in high school. But, I think for me, it's more that I don't understand the books as well because of the language and the setting. It's just so foreign.

  5. Oh I completely agree!!! I can't relate to these made up worlds. They don't make that much sense and are often times not well written! Just my opinion. I also don't dig classics!

I am now following you 🙂

  6. I rarely shop online – I'm an instant gratification kind of gal, I guess.

Paranormal doesn't work for me either.

  7. I rarely shop online and usually do Amazon or HSN or toys r us

    It's rare though.

It's hard to trust online and shipping cost is way over board!

  8. Hmmmmmmm Do I shop on-line? Yes, I do, but not any one given place. I have shopped at Walmart, Marlboro, Target once. Hmmm Can't remember the other places. I just bought Microsoft Office today off of Microsoft website. Wanted it for a back up & it was only 13 bucks for me. I won it about a year ago and believe or not I just downloaded it. I'm such a boob. Have a great weekend.

  9. I can understand that! I cannot get into any Jane Austen books. I did love Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte though.

  10. I adore paranormals! One of my favorite genres! Classics are a bit harder for me as well.
