Friday Memes

From An Island Life:
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

MY QUESTION:
Now that it is starting to get cold, what is one of your
favorite dishes you enjoy cooking, eating and/or serving?

  1. I agree..soups and stews become staples around here in the cold weather. I also break out the breadmaker when it is cold. Nothing like a slab of hot bread to soak up some stew or soup. We sure need some warm comfort food today!

  2. Supposed to be in the low 80's here but when it does cool down, I take advantage of it and have the oven on. Meatloaf and roasted potatoes is a fave with TBG and me.

  3. Anything I can make in the oven. I hardly use my oven all Summer long so fall and winter is when I like to make roasted meals. Yum!!

  4. I love home-made Italian soup. I know what it's called in Italian, but have no clue what it's called in English. It's got everything in it, but the kitchen sink! mmmmmmmmmm That's a belly warmer for sure. Thanks for stopping by, and have a fun & safe Halloween!

  5. There is nothing more comforting than making a good soup for the family. We make a "Warm Your Belly" soup when it get's cold that is so yummy!

  6. I love a good pot of homemade Chili, when it gets cold. My husband ask me last week, "When are you going to make Chili?" I said, "When we get our first snow."

  7. Our is also Chili and cornbread.. the next runner up is Cabbage Patch Stew and cornbread of course. Today is our first cold front. My are very frisky today.

  8. I don't have a favorite dish for any season 🙂 I just cook what we have and can afford 🙂

    Aloha.
