Larry Kahn, the author of The Jinx andKing of Paine, successfullynegotiated the fast-paced world of domestic and international mergers andacquisitions for twenty years, first at a major New York law firm and then atan Atlanta Fortune 500 company. He penned TheJinx while on sabbatical in 1999 and is now devoted to writing fiction fulltime. Many of his more cynical legal clients and associates have accused him ofwriting fiction full time for many years. He resides in Atlanta with hisfamily.
Larry developed a keen interest in social issues while attending Yale LawSchool, an idealistic spirit that continues to spice his novels. The vision ofa colorblind America in his political thriller The Jinx led to endorsements by leaders of the ACLU, National UrbanLeague and Artists Against Racism. And as the Baby Boomer generation scattersabout the country, King of Paine envisionsa renewed emphasis on family and tradition in which Americans create for theirvenerable elders, and ultimately themselves, a peaceful place to die.

This is my first visit to this blog and I am very pleased to have found it (thanks to Larry Kahn)!
I read Larry's novel KING OF PAINE a couple of months ago and loved everything about it. Having two very different plot lines in the novel only enhanced the story. The comfort of reading Larry's style of writing couldn't be better and the novel included many thought-provoking ideas which I love about a novel. It also offered a cool mystery so this suspense thriller has that added spice (mystery) as well.
I loved reading what Larry's inspirations were behind the two plot lines and I loved his answers. Very intriguing and personal for me too!
I like this book so much that I am going to read it again. For any readers here who have not had a chance to read it… please don't pass it up with it being such a great deal at $.99. In my opinion it is worth so much more as a good read!
