From An Island Life:
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, visit An Island Life answer the question and then post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
With Memorial Day this weekend and that means BBQs and cookouts.
My question is:
Do you eat outdoors during the summer, when it’s
not a holiday, just for an everyday supper?
No, it’s too hot and there are too many bugs here for that.
Unfortunately not as often as we’d like to (especially the kids, who call it a picnic). Like Kathy said, it’s too hot and/or too many bugs to make it a pleasant experience. 🙂
It’s Not the Heat, It’s the Humidity
Not as much as I use to.
Have a great weekend!

We’ll have pic-nicks sometimes. Or if we spend the afternoon swimming we might have lunch on the patio.
The sand gnats (which bite) and the mosquitos pretty much make it impossible to enjoy a SUPPER outside though. Gotta be the hot height of the day while they are all doing whatever biting bugs do in the middle of the day.
We usually don’t enjoy the outdoors for a family meal due to the fact that we really don’t have anywhere to sit! Our deck is SUPER tiny and we really don’t have a table and chairs for the yard.
Hopefully our next house will have a bigger deck or patio we can all enjoy 🙂
Have a fantastic holiday weekend!
We eat on our enclosed porch everyday.
We don’t eat outdoors. We have no decor outside and in LA it would be absolutely miserable!
Happy weekend!
Not usually. It’s just too dang hot! We’ve already passed 90 most days. We cook on the grill, but bring it inside, unless we are at a party by a pool or the beach, but there has to be shade.
