GIVEAWAY ENTRY PAGE “THE LINE BETWEEN HERE AND GONE” by Andrea Kane ENDED

JULY 18th to AUGUST 1st, 2012

THE LINE BETWEEN HERE AND GONE
by ANDREA KANE

SYNOPSIS:
Each day is a struggle for Amanda Gleason’s newborn son as he battles a rare immune deficiency. Justin’s best chance for a cure lies with his father, who was brutally murdered before Amanda even realized she carried his child.
Or was he?
One emailed photo changes everything, planting a seed of doubt that Amanda latches onto for dear life: a recent photo of a man who looks exactly like Paul. Could Justin’s father be alive? The mother in her is desperate to find out. But tracking down a ghost when every second counts is not for amateurs.
Forensic Instincts is the one team up for the challenge.
A behaviorist. A former Navy SEAL. A techno-wizard. An intuitive. A retired FBI agent. A human scent evidence dog. Together, they achieve the impossible, pushing ethical and legal boundaries whenever the ends justify the means.
The manhunt is on for the elusive father. Yet the further the team digs into Paul’s past, the more questions are raised about whether the man Amanda fell in love with ever really existed at all.
Dark secrets. Carefully crafted lies. From the Congressional halls of Washington D.C. to exclusive Hamptons manors, there are ruthless people who would stop at nothing to make Forensic Instincts forget about the man Amanda desperately needs to find.
Little do they realize that once Forensic Instincts takes the case, nothing will stop them from uncovering the shocking truth that transcends The Line Between Here and Gone.

  1. Breaking the law is still breaking the law no matter the ‘justification’ for doing so. The question for me would be: is the end result worth the punishment for the crime? 🙂

    Thank you for this giveaway!
    ~Cheers!

  2. I think it is ok. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do, no matter the cost to get the results you need.,

  3. Well, if your ends justify your means, surely they must be ethical in your eyes, no? Unless you already disagree with what you are doing and doing it anyway…

  4. right is right and wrong is wrong, and the law is the law, GOD BLESS AND KEEP YA’LL SAFE IN HIS LOVING ARMS.

  5. I think that if the circumstances really calls for it, it is ok. After all, laws are man-made and aren’t always perfect.

  6. Normally I would have to say no because the law is the law but many laws still in place are out of date and no longer fit the needs of our society today. Many times these outdated laws can cause ethical dilemmas of their own. At the end of the day the bottom line for me is no it’s not okay but I have an easier time accepting broken rules in situations of extreme circumstance where others were saved from going around the laws and just doing what needed to be done.

  7. Yikes, what a loaded question! The answer would depend upon the circumstance and if anyone I knew was involved to be totally honest!

  8. Theres have always been exceptions to the rule, but is it fair? I’m not sure!

  9. I disagree that it is ok to push ethical and legal boundaries in cetain situations. Being married to a police office I am really big on following the rules. Thanks for having this giveaway.

  10. It is too hard to answer that right or wrong. Each circumstance needs to be looked at and then a decision made.

  11. We hold to standard of equality and fairness and sometimes that needs to challenged legally.

In Response To Your Question Of FROM READING THE SYNOPSIS,
DO YOU AGREE OR DISAGREE THAT IT IS OK IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS,TO “PUSHING ETHICAL AND LEGAL BOUNDARIES WHENEVER THE ENDS JUSTIFY THE MEANS”?
I Cannot Answer Yes Or No Because
It All Depends On The Situation You Are Faced With,
I Myself Try To Obey The Law But Each Circumstance
Needs To Be Looked At And Then A Decision Made Whether Or Not
    You’re Doing The Right Thing.
    Thanks For Having This Giveaway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. Yes–ethics are frequently a gray area, colored by experience and culture, and legal rules are often too black and white. This is why juries in trials end up considering ‘extenuating circumstances’ in certain cases.

  14. didn’t really say what ethical and legal boundaries were being broken, sounds like a missing person search, so yes

  15. No two circumstances would be the same so how do we deal with the individual situations and that is a problem.

  16. I think it would really depend on what the situation is. Sometimes you have to do what you have to, it depends on what you believe.
