Aloha Friday

Hosted by An Island Life

From An Island Life:
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, visit An Island Life answer the question and then post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

No matter what time I get up, usually 6:30am or earlier, I have a consistent morning routine. I wake up, grab a K cup, make my 1st cup of coffee, take my meds, and meet my husband in my office, where he has already booted up my computer, for our morning coffee and conversation about our day’s plans.               So my questions is:
Do you have a morning routine?

  1. If it’s a school day, I have a routine. First thing is to wake up my kids, next I take out the dog and give her food/water, grab a cup of coffee or hot tea, get on computer to check email and check online bank account. My kids are out the door for school by 7:30 and every once in awhile I will go back to bed for a little bit but usually not.

  2. The hubby has to leave for work by 6:30 Monday through Thursday, so I’m up at 5:30, get dressed, send the dogs outside, make sure the hubby hasn’t gone back to sleep and we both get our coffee and head out to the Summer House to get on our respective computers and chat about the upcoming day. When he leaves at 6:30, I go up and wake up Princess Nagger and get her dressed and fed and ready for the bus at 7:30 – then I have about an hour to an hour-and-a-half of online fun before getting Little Dude up, dressed and fed. 🙂

  3. Now that we are back to school I have a sort of routine. Get kids breakfast and try to get a cup of coffee from the Keurig. Pack lunches and give kids clothing. Out the door to bring the kids to school. Back home to get work done while likely having that first cup of coffee.

  4. Oh lordy, lordy Amen to that one. Good question. I too get up at 6:30 am, but I do get up between 5 & 6 for a potty trip & I walk with my walker until the pain is gone, but I walk down the hall to grab my pain killers and morning medication. I find it easier to get up and moving at 6:30. A new part of my routine, but it works good. Dam kidneys just can’t wait until 6:30! Sheesh. After which I brush my teeth wash the sleep off my fast & grab my robe and slippers and off to my office to feed ‘JAWS” (my beta fish – we changed his name when he killed my other fish). Then “BABY” is usually at the front door to let out. I feed her & then pour two cups of coffee. I bring hubby’s in the bathroom with his vitamin. I then open the garage door & back to the kitchen where (according to the time) he’ll either get a egg & cheese sandwich or if he has more time then it’s scrambled eggs & bacon with a slice of toast and a tall glass of milk (either way). Then I pour his ice tea into his mug & put his lunch on the counter and finally sit down for me own cup of coffee. WHEW. When he leaves another cup and off to my computer. Have a great weekend lil’ sis. I hope we can keep this back & forth up for a while, but sometimes busy busy on my end or yours or both, but you know I still luvs ya sis from another mother, but our mom’s are watching down on us together swapping stories I’m sure! LOL

  5. Depending if I had insomnia or not, I don’t get up at a set time. I usually make my first cup of tea, set down with my computer and check e-mails, and than check on other bloggers to see what they are talking about any given day. Then off to reading the latest book in my Reading Corner.

  6. Kinda.

I open my eyes and begin praying while I’m getting up.
    Wake the kids up.
Do my teeth and face and begins breakfast and lunch for them.
Then it’s breakfast and off to school with them. We pray on the way again.
Seem to work just fine 🙂

    My hubs routine: He sleeps.

  7. As much as I HATE routine, I do have a morning routine I try to follow! My boyfriend wakes me up on his lunch, we talk until noon, I get up, go brush my teeth, and take my vitamins and minerals.

After that it’s still pretty monotonous, but it’s not TOTALLY routine.

    Happy Friday 🙂
