Synopsis (via GR)
No matter what kind of promise you make—it’s a promise. If you don’t plan on keeping it, don’t make it.
In book five of the Friendship Honor series, Nicky goes to Brooklyn for a wedding. While he’s there, Frankie has some trouble, and Nicky makes a promise to help him out.
And remember, murder is a promise too.
My Thoughts
Det. Frankie “Bugs” Donovan and Nicky “Rat” Fusco are back!
These 2 loyal childhood friends, even though they are on opposite ends of the law, are teaming up again.
Frankie is finally getting married and Nicky and his family are in NY for the wedding and a mini vacation, but soon, Nicky finds himself protecting his “brother” when Frankie and his family are threatened.
I read this book in one sitting! I could not put it down because it was non stop action!!
The author’s writing style in this book were conversations between the characters, which allowed this reader not only to visualize the characters because of having their personalities come through but also allowing me to feel as if I was a bystander.
Murders, kidnapping, police and the mobs make this for a thrilling and an uninterrupted exhilarating read!!!
I do recommend that you start with Book 1 so that you get the full backstory of Frankie and Nicky.
