Synopsis (via GR)

What if your perfect home turned out to be the scene of the perfect crime?

Londoners Jack and Syd moved into the house a year ago. It seemed like their dream home: tons of space, the perfect location, and a friendly owner who wanted a young couple to have it.

So when they made a grisly discovery in the attic, Jack and Syd chose to ignore it. That was a mistake.

Because someone has just been murdered. Right outside their back door.

And now the police are watching them…

My Thoughts

Jack and Syd have found their forever home, or has it found them? As the synopsis states, after Jack finds a couple of gruesome finds in their attic, things start to spiral downwards. (vague due to not wanting to include any spoilers).

This book grabbed me from the first paragraph where it describes what appears to be a stabbing that went wrong. But who is the victim, who is the suspect?

The book is told from 2 POVs, Jack and Syd, as they decide to write down everything they remember from the day they stepped into the house that they hoped to purchase.

The writing is fluid and detailed giving the reader little clues as the story progresses. The small pieces of the puzzle end in a heart pounding conclusion.

A complicated and profound read! Chilling!! Do not read this book when you are alone! Be prepared to be reading late into the night!
