2015 Challenges

Did you think I disappeared?

I’m sure some of you have wondered where I have been. Some of you know that back in May I had a very extensive back operation, was in a back brace for close to 6 months and that hindered me from sitting at my computer. The surgery was a success and have been, and will continue to be, in outpatient PT for a while.

Unfortunately, however, I developed another medical issue, secondary to the back surgery, that will be requiring additional surgery scheduled for Jan. 12th. This operation will not be as extensive but will take the usual healing time of 6-8 weeks.

The problem was not discovered until recently, and during the past 4 months of not feeling well, going through tests to find out what might be going on, I slipped into another reading slump. BUT..it’s that time of year, and if you know me, you know I love the reading challenges, so I am hoping this is just what I need to kick myself into reading again!!!

  1. I was glad to read that your surgery was a success, and then you tell us you need another surgery, bummer…I hope you have a speedy recovery and the surgery is a success. I missed you, and hope you will soon be feeling well enough to read a few books this year. I do hope you have a Happy Reading 2015.

  2. It’s the 12th & I’ve had a candle lit all day for you in hopes your surgery goes well & the way you want it too and that you have a short recovery. I prayed for your doctor that the Lord may guide his hands to put you all back together again like brand new!!! May the Lord watch over you in your hour of need. God bless.
