From An Island Life:
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, visit An Island Life answer the question and then post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
My Question:What is your desktop picture?My Answer:My 4 kids..my 2 sons and their girlfriends.
Are you a blogger over 40? Yeah, welcome to the club! Please join in the fun and get to know your fellow bloggers!!
In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and find new book-related blogs that we may be missing out on! This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs that they may not know existed! So, grab the logo, post about the Hop on your blog, and start HOPPING through the list of blogs that are posted in the Linky list below!!
The Hop lasts Friday-Monday every week, so if you don’t have time to Hop today, come back later and join the fun! This is a weekly event! And stop back throughout the weekend to see all the new blogs that are added! We get over 200 links every week!!
Your blog should have content related to books, including, but not limited to book reviews.
If you start following someone through the Hop, leave a comment on their blog to let them know! Stop back during the week to see other blogs that are added! And, most importantly, the idea is to HAVE FUN!!
“What are your feelings on losing followers? Have you ever stopped following a blog?”My Answer:
When that happens, I wish I knew why. It feels like I am losing a friend but don’t know what I did. However, I have stopped following some blogs if they haven’t posted in a month or so. I also may stop following if we no longer have the same genres in common
My desktop picture is one I took yesterday of a tree as the sun was rising, I posted it on SkyWatch Friday today.
I really don't know if I have lost followers or not, I follow the blogs I choose and if they choose to follow mine I am pleased.
If possible I always try to comment back on their blog when someone does leave me a comment, I think that is just good blogger manners.
I notice some leave the comment in their own comment post, but I don't always go back to check to see if they have acknowledged my comment or not, so I probably miss a lot.
Hopping back at you.
My desktop picture here at work is a pink rose…the picture was sent to me by a dear friend and it's lovely to look at.
At home…I'd honestly have to look and see. My son changes it pretty often….usually he's got it on a Star Trek theme.
Now I feel bad because I don't have a desktop picture. I try not to pay too much attention to stats because they only upset me!
I don't really notice or try to take too seriously my follower numbers. People quit following for many reasons, not just your blog. My desktop picture is of me and my father on the last time I saw him.

My desktop picture is of the northern lights. They are so beautiful.
I notice that I gain and then lose followers after I host a giveaway.
I hope to hold onto the handful of followers I have with my little postings 🙂
My photo is of my partner and me at my 40th birthday. Why not the kids? I have pics of them all over the house and only a couple of pics of My love and I 🙂
enjoy ur weekend!

I would love to know why too..
stop by sometime http://www.livelaughlovewiththeponderingprincess.com/2010/11/day-27-friendliest-person-i-only-knew.html
I'm always a little bummed when I lose followers but make every effort to
turn every lost follower into a learning experience so I can improve my
performance.
On the flip side, I only stop following people when they give me a reason to
such as being totally off message or being too controversial in an negative,
over-the-top way.
Happy Book Blogger Hop Friday!

I'm upset when people leave if it's someone I enjoy talking to. Otherwise, not so much. However, I stop following people all of the time. It's more that I change who I follow. If someone has quite a few posts that I feel are inappropriate or completely against how I feel I'll usually stop. I do tend to keep those that post infrequently. I don't mind them not posting – as long as I still like their personalities.
I'm more likely to get rid of someone who posts too much than not enough.
You're such a sweetie, of course, you feel it when you loose a follower. But keep in mind that maybe they are still following you but in a different way…
An old follower hopping by to say hi 🙂 My desktop picture is a purple/pink sunset from Nature's Wallpaper. Here's the photo from a Wordless Wednesday post. Have a great weekend 😀
I seriously hope you never stop following me! I even disabled word verification for you! LOL
Hi, Just hopping by
