THURSDAY

Photobucket
This week’s question:
What’s the most romantic book you’ve ever read?

(Mind you, I don’t mean the hard-core stuff you hide in plain wrappers under your mattress. I mean True Love, Romance, deeply emotional, heart-tugging, and all that stuff.)
And, secondly, did you like it? Is it your usual kind of reading, or did it take you by surprise?
My answer:
After reading the question, the first book that came to mind was The Ring by Danielle Steel, which a friend had recommended while we were in HS.  Even back then, I was into the suspense/mystery genre (I truly think I am a closet CSI, PI adrenelin rush agent, etc wanna be because I know I wouldn’t be able to work in that field because I am afraid of my own shadow).  I remember that I couldn’t put the book down and read it in just a couple of days. It was because of that book that hooked me into reading her novels.

From Lori’s site:
It struck me recently how much time I spend on this computer every day, blogging, chatting or playing games on Facebook, emailing friends and relatives, making cards and calendars, etc. etc. etc.
We depend on each other for book reviews, giveaways, encouragement, friendship, but how well do we really know each other?
So that is what this meme is all about, getting to know each other.

1. Do you take a daily multi-vitamin or supplement?
I probably should but don’t
vitamins

2. You’re snacking – popcorn – pretzels – potato chips or peanuts?

3. Waffles, Pancakes or French Toast?

  1. I read a fair amount of rom-com, chick lit and womens fiction.

I would have crisps – we have endless flavours here in the UK.

  2. Boy, I would really have a hard time picking the most romantic.

Sorry about the easy questions this week, Wisconsin politics, and our stupid governor is making my head explode. Hopefully thing will get better, good thing I keep my politics off my blog or I would probably lose some followers. 🙂

  3. HCMash – I answered the Enquiring Qs in my blog post here: http://marthasbookshelf.blogspot.com/2011/02/enquiring-minds-meme-week-25-plus.html
But most romantic book — so many good ones to choose and hard to remember them all! What flashes to mind are some fav authors: Julie Garwood (Secrets); Julia Quinn (The Viscount Who Loved Me); Christina Dodd (A Knight To Remember); and Catherine Coulter (The Duke). Oddly I never really got into Danielle Steel.
