lives out of state. And started thinking……

As some of you know, my son recently got engaged and he proposed with a Princess cut diamond ring.

This past weekend, I announced that my youngest son got engaged. They live out of state (5hours away) and they are driving in tonight leaving on Sunday. Since family and friends want to see them, my DH and I are having a pool party on Saturday so that people can stop by, whenever they can, to see them.

So my question is:

When you are having a large gathering, how many days in advance do you start preparing for it?
