Do you prefer character-driven stories, or plot-driven stories?
My Answer:
I would say both, however, the characters have to be life like and believable first and foremost no matter what the plot is. Especially if it is a story line of relationship dynamics. But then if a book does have the elements of characters that one can relate to, but the plot goes nowhere, what good are these life like characters. I have read a couple of these books recently and even though I understood what the author was trying to convey with their characters, the books’ plot was flat and I struggled through them. So I think they have to be of equal proportion.
What about you? What do you think? Characters or plots?
According to Marcia, “Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.”

My answer:
Absolutely. Other people’s bookcase’s are like magnets when I walk into someone’s home. I’m automatically drawn to it. If it is the first time visiting, it makes for a wonderful “ice breaker” and topic of conversation. It also gives a little peek into the likes of the host/hostess. If it someone who I visit more often, I still gravitate to their bookcases. But the conversation starts with the”what new books have you added and what do you recommened?” At that point, I either am offered to borrow the book or grab a pen and piece of paper to write down the title(s) for when I get home to write them down on my “tbr hopefully in my lifetime list”.

If you were (are) going on vacation, what books would you take with you?
My answer:
Oh so many to choose from…a full book shelf of tbr books to pick from. However, I would take both my Kindle and Sony EReaders for packing purposes and read the tbr ones waiting there. I have, of course, a Vincent Zandri book, 2 Melissa Foster books, a Mary Tabor book and so many more.
This past April/May, my husband and I, just the two of us, took a well needed and deserved vacation to our favorite destination, Aruba, and our plans were for “a relaxing, do nothing vacation”. I packed quite a few books, having all intentions to lie on the beach everyday reading (I had warned my husband of my plans since he is not a reader). I packed print books, along with my 2 EReaders figuring I would finish a few books. Much to my surprise, I only finished 2 books. We had such a good time, even though I did get some reading in while on the beach, Steve (hubby) and I talked a lot plus we met some fun people who had palapas (huts) next to ours for the week, that we “hung out with them” during our stay. So know I now for when we go back, to have the EReaders loaded and ready to go.

My answer:
When I read other bloggers’ post that I do find interesting, I do think that “I wish I had thought about that”, but to actually than use it, I don’t. Unless it is something that is so phenomenal and I think it pertains to me and/or my followers, I might, but I always will always give credit, give the link as to the original post, and talk first about how I found it on someone’s blog. I recently found an event that I host on my blog, on another blog, where the some of the questions were the same, but no mention of my blog.
