This week’s question:

Do you have a favorite children’s book? Either one that you loved as a child, or one that you discovered later, and still enjoy? Tell us about it!

My answer:

I remember getting so excited when the monthly Scholastic Pamphlet would be passed out at the end of a school day to see what new Curious George books were available and which ones my parents would allow me to get.

MONDAY
Today is a very special day for me and I can’t believe how fast it seems that these years have passed.  It seems like yesterday, that every March 7th, I would be wrapping up a sandwich, a juice box and a cup cake in birthday wrapping paper and sending Mark off to school with his lunch box.  Yes…today my baby turns 25!!!!

This week’s question:
What book(s) are you most excited about right now? (it can either be something you’re currently reading, or something you just bought, or a book/books that are soon to be published
My Answer:
If you follow this blog, you won’t be surprised with part of this answer.  Vincent Zandri has a sequel coming out to his Moonlight Falls and I have been informed that he has another new book coming out this spring titled Concrete Pearl that I am also anxiously waiting for.
But as a book addict, I can say that every book that is either on my TBR shelf or TBR list is a book I can’t wait to read.  Whenever I pick up a new book to read, I am always thinking which is going to be my next read.

This week’s question:
Which do you prefer: Adult -or- Young Adult books? Or, both? Why?
My answer:
I prefer Adult books for a couple of reasons, but then I could be wrong since I haven’t read a YA book since I was in Junior High, which is one reason.  I have been reading adult books since High School.  And I feel that I can relate to the characters and/or story lines in Adult books more so than YA.

Another not so great month.  But I did find that instead of reading books in the order received and reading purely on my mood, I did finish 3 books in 1 week.  So that experiment did work and plan on doing it again for the month of March and hopefully get my request tbr pile down in size.  Here is what I read in February:
When No One Is Watching by Joseph Hayes   4/5
Midnight Caller by Leslie Tertler   2/5
So Close The Hand of Death by J.T. Ellison   1 DNF
Georgia Bottoms by Mark Childress   5/5
Toys by James Patterson & Neil McMahon   2/5
Heartache & Sin by Charles Soto   4/5

This week’s question:
In honor of the Canadian “Family Day” holiday, today, I’m curious… What was the last book (or, what was your favorite book) that dealt with family? What did you like / dislike about it?
My answer:
The first book that came to mind was Beachcombers by Nancy Thayer.  I read it this past year and it was the type of story where I got so involved with the characters, in this case 3 sisters, that I didn’t want to see the story end.  The sisters who are all facing trouble in their own lives have come home to the small island of Nantucket to face their past and begin their future.
And to all my Canadian blogging friends…Happy Family Day!

This hasn’t happened in a while, no books this week, but then maybe it’s a good thing because I am so far behind.  But I will be visiting and seeing what everyone else received so that my tbr bucket list will grow.

This week’s question:
If you read romance novels, answer this question:

Who are your favorite “romance” authors? Why?
My answer:
I am not a “typical” romance type of reader, unless there is a bit of suspense in the plot.  I will read authors such as Nora Roberts, Catherine Coulter, Danielle Steel and Sandra Brown.

“Meet Me On Monday!”
Blogging is a funny thing…we tell our most intimate thoughts for all to read and yet most of the time I find myself sitting and wondering, “who is this person!?” I know them…but yet I don’t know them! I want to know who the person is behind all those words so I thought of a great way for all of us to “meet” each other!
Questions:

1. Did you get any Valentine’s Gifts?
Not yet
2. What is your favorite topping on something toasted?
Strawberry Jam
3. Do you pick out your outfit the night before?
It depends if I have an appointment or not.  If not, its jeans and a sweater.

4. What food item do you absolutely despise?
Liver…so much so..I couldn’t even post a picture of it.
5. Righty or lefty?
Righty
