OK…..going to try this for a second time !!!!!!!! I am back again and hopefully this time to stay. I missed all my book blogging friends and apologize that there has been no update. Will give a quick summary of why I haven’t been here.

JOURNEYUnfortunately I had a major setback. After being discharged to home after the surgery I had a bad reaction to one of my pain meds, which played havoc on my blood pressure. Because of this, on 2 occasions, while walking with my walker I experienced signs of low blood pressure (becoming faint) and fell. I was rushed to our local hospital both times and then on the 2nd ER visit to make sure no damage was done to the hardware in my back, I was transported to the out of state hospital where the surgery was done. Once there and readmitted, I had some major complications that at times were critical. But as of Friday night I turned the corner and was able to be discharged to home yesterday. I am weak and still have a lot of post op pain but feel that now I am on the right road to recovery…..it will take time but I am willing to take baby steps. It feels good to be home.
I have a lot of catching up to do !!!!!!! I am very behind in my reading and reviews, never even opened a book while in hospital because I was too sick. I also need to catch up with all my favorite blogs and resubscribe to newsletters. HAVE A FAVOR TO ASK…..if you have any news that I might have missed over the past 3 weeks and would like to share, I would love to hear about it. It will take time but eventually I will be back to my old self and schedule. It can only get better from here !!!! I am glad to be back and plan on staying this time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am home from the hospital and have been reunited with Lily Laptop. First, I want to thank everyone for the well wishes, thoughts and prayers. I truly believe that the prayers that were offered up for me worked as I had a serious complication but am ok now. The surgeries were successful. I am definitely not jumping up and down like my little smiley buddy, but with time I hopefully will be. I am walking with a walker and still in the height of postoperative pain. I will try to get back into blogging slowly but it is hard due to the pain. I also want to thank the new followers that have visited and decided they liked my blog. Hopefully it will be sooner than later that I am fully up and running, strutting, skipping, taking baby steps. Again thank you. It is good to be back. Missed you all !!!!

Hello everyone. This is Cheryl’s younger son, Mark. I would like to inform you that the surgery was successful with minimal complications. She is doing great and we expect her to come home soon to begin the recovery process. I talked to her today and she is looking forward to get back on and talk to you all. Have a great week everyone!
