Hosted by Jennifer from CRAZY FOR BOOKS

Here are the instuctions from her site:
Every day I seem to find another book blog that I start following. In the spirit of the Friday Follow, I thought it would be cool to do a Book Blog Hop to give us all bookies a chance to connect and find new blogs that we may be missing out on! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs that they may not know existed!
So, if you’d like to participate, just repost this on your blog, sign MckLinky on her site, and check out other blogs in MckLinky! Let’s connect and make new book bloggy friends!! So, if you consider yourself a book blogger, come join the fun!
Pretty please – Your blog should have content related to books, including, but not limited to book reviews.

Yesterday was a so-so day, thought I would get more reading time but life just tends to get in the way lol.  Even though I probably won’t meet my goal, I am having fun anyway.
Yesterday’s reading time:  6.5 hours
Total Challenge hours:  22.5

Friday Fill-ins (5 of 5)

And…here we go!

1. I usually am up for 2 hours before the clock reads 6:58.
2. It was the reason, of course, that I chose to read this particular book.
3. Worrying about things that I have no control of is something I no longer feel the need to do.
4. I have another errand to run, then I am going to sit and read.
5. PLEASE!!…just go find it
6. What were once vices are no longer.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to spending time with hubby, tomorrow my plans include computer to-do list and read for challenge and Sunday, I want to sit by the pool and read, depending on the weather and have random.org pick the 2 winners of the giveaway!

Today’s Question:
Do you prefer reading current books? Or older ones? Or outright old ones? (As in, yes, there’s a difference between a book from 10 years ago and, say, Charles Dickens or Plato.)
My Answer:
I gravitate towards current books, however, there are many titles on my TBR Bucket List that were current at the time.  There are so MANY of the “older” ones on my list that I know realistically, I will never read.  What’s that saying…so many precious books, so little time.  But if it by an author I enjoy, I don’t mind reading the older ones.  And as far as the oldest…as in classics…those aren’t for me.  I think it is due to when I was in high school and was forced to read books I didn’t enjoy.

Challenge Update–Thurs (2 of 2)

Photobucket
Hosted by Kristen from Bookworming in the 21st Century
Yesterday was a very productive day for me. I read quite a bit, finished a book, wrote and posted the review, and started another.  I am still behind in my goal but knowing that I have signed up for this challenge, is giving me the kick in the butt to get off this laptop and to be sitting in my reading chair with my book.  I also noticed yesterday that I am catching up in my tbr reading schedule after losing the month of April.  I am now reading books that I received a month ago.  However, this past month I received a lot of books.
     Hours Read Wednesday:  7.5
   Challenge Hours Read:  16
Goal For Week:  40
