From Lori’s site:
It struck me recently how much time I spend on this computer every day, blogging, chatting or playing games on Facebook, emailing friends and relatives, making cards and calendars, etc. etc. etc.
We depend on each other for book reviews, giveaways, encouragement, friendship, but how well do we really know each other?
This week school started for my kids and I realized what that means. Think back, if you are old like me, think way back, what happens at the start of a school year.
You renew friendships and make new ones.
You get to know each other.
So that is what this meme is all about, getting to know each other.
Each Thursday I will post 3 questions for you to answer that you can copy and post on your blog with your answers.

1. How many hours per day do you spend at your computer?
I probably spend more time on the computer than I really should. But between blog hopping, commenting, keeping my blog updated, writing reviews, etc etc., it is probably 4+ hours/day. I do enjoy being on the computer but need to read more and less computer.
2. What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Hmmmmm…Double Chocolate and Peanut Butter. Ice cream is my comfort food !! Just a little P.S. about this question. LOL this one was mean since I am on a diet and just thinking about ice cream is testing my will power LOL
3. Do you own an E-Reader, Kindle, Nook, etc? If yes, which one and how do you like it. Please give us the Pros and Cons.
My hubby surprised me and bought me a Sony EReader in December.
Pros: Size, easier to put in purse and take it on the go, price of ebooks, no need for more bookcases for storage are just a few of the pros.
Cons: no back light, battery life is not long enough (it probably would be enough for those who aren’t avid readers)
Now your enquiring mind knows!!!!

Elmer’s Virtual Bag It Forward And Adopt A Classroom
Dolly over at Xmas Dolly sent me a Elmer’s Virtual Bag. It has been years since I have had to do school supplies shopping with my boys. I have to admit, it was a chore I enjoyed. So when Dolly sent me this Virtual Bag to help students, I was glad to help.
By posting this and linking to Elmer’s, this is what will happen:
ELMER’S VIRTUAL “BAG IT FORWARD” rules:
- Copy and paste these rules into your blog post or Facebook note.
- Create a post giving a “virtual bag of school supplies” to other bloggers or write about your Back to School shopping trip at Walmart.
- Link back to the person who gave you a bag of school supplies.
- Let each person you are giving a virtual bag of school supplies know you have given them a bag.
- Leave your link in the Elmer’s Virtual Bag It Forward comment section. You can also find the official rules of this virtual #bagitforward program there.
- Elmer’s is donating $10 for each blog participating in the Virtual Bag It Forward Donation to Adopt-A-Classroom (up to total of $10,000 for blog posts written by September 10,2010).
Please note that only one blog post per blog url will count towards the donation
Be sure to head over and leave your link to the post on Bag it Forward post for the post to count towards Elmer’s Donation .
I am passing this on and hope you will help!!!

I have mentioned that hubby and I will be empty nesters in approximately a month. We have decided to do some remodeling and buying new furniture once we have the house back to ourselves. So since I have been in a reading slump, whats the next best thing? Of course, shopping!!! I have been looking for new dining chairs since my son’s dog chewed ours, a new office chair, bookcases, CD cases and many more items. And even more exciting news!!! I will be working with Caitlin from CNS STORES.COM. Stay tuned to see what I have picked out and what we will purchase. Got to go…..ttyl…..need to do some more shopping!!!

WEDNESDAY
I want to thank all that participated in Table Talk Tuesday. Did you meet any new bloggers? Did you get to know a little bit more about bloggers that you follow? Any thoughts regarding what you liked/didn’t like about the meme? Any suggestions to make it better?
**I know that I have to fix the linky in regard to time…forgot about all the different times zones (will make note of that for next week).
**Would you rather have to post less tidbits/questions? My vote for that is yes. I found it took a lot of time to answer/comment….so what about 1 or 2 tidbits/questions/comments?
Also, today, after getting my few computer to-dos, I will be away from the computer. Have had a reading slump over the past few days, not sure why, so today’s plan is to do nothing but read, not even going to answer the phone, I need to get back on track.

Monthly Wrap Up (2 of 2)
Another month has passed and summer will soon be coming to an end. I do enjoy Autumn but not looking forward to when we change the clocks and the days are shorter. And then knowing that the cold weather will soon be approaching.
As far as reading, I had a decent month, could have been better, but I am making progress in my Requested Review TBR Pile. However, not happy with my Challenges Progress. I signed up for so many, being my first time participating and thinking that requested reviews would be far and few between. I was wrong but have learned a lot from the past 8 months of blogging/reviewing.
And now my August Wrap Up Progress:
