Do you listen to music when you read? If so, what are your favorite reading tunes?
My Response:
No.  I find it distracting for some reason, which I really don’t understand, because I always have the tv on.  I am a Cable News junkie and always have it on with the volume low in case there is breaking news.  On the weekends, hubby turns on music from when he gets up and I find that if I hear a song that I like, I can’t focus on reading.

1. Life is short, so make the best of it.
2. I love the days that I have so much energy that I get a lot accomplished and just  keep going.
3. My last text message (or IM) ended in these three words: call me later.
4. Linguine and shrimp sauteed in white wine is what I’m thinking about for dinner sometime soon.
5. On the 1st day of August I made changes on my blog and then went to sit by and in the pool with hubby.
6. My grandmother, at 95 years old was still lively and energetic.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to relaxing and spending time with hubby, tomorrow my plans include my weekly computer to-dos then sitting by pool, with hubby and a book and Sunday, I want to do the same!

To answer the weekly question, my favorite new-to-me author is actually a debut author whose first novel I couldn’t put down.  It was phenomenal!!!  And ironically, today I am hosting him as a “Guest Author” (see post 1 of 3) and the above post is an early exclusive!!!  The author is, Vincent Zandri, and if you like thrillers, than you are in for a treat when you read his books!!  I was introduced to him in May when I read and reviewed Moonlight Falls. (all links in Post #1) and have been a fan since.

  My current read is Grace Under Mystery by Julie Hyzy.  I don’t want to give too much away because I am almost done and will tell all in my review.  But I will say it is a cozy mystery that has me turning the pages in the suspense.  A really good cozy!!!
