Miz B is shaking up Musing Mondays this week!!  Here are rules that we have to and/or want to play:
Okay… so what’s going to happen is this: I’m going to ask a question today — as I always do for Musing Mondays — and the first commenter is going to answer my question on their blog (or in my comments section). BUT…

That first commenter also needs to ask a question (a different question) for commenter #2 to answer. So, commenter #2 (to Should Be Reading) has to go to commenter #1′s MM post and answer their question… plus pose a question of their own for commenter #3 to answer! And, so on.
Each participant to MM today needs to ask their own question for the next person to answer, in addition to answering the previous person’s question.

Today’s Topic:
What element, if a book has it, will make you almost always read that book (and name a book –or books– that contain it)! ((for example: romantic reunions))
My Answer:
A good suspense, and the authors that I like and will read any and all of their books.  The type of book that I love is the kind that grab you from the start, have short chapters (what I call just one more chapter and find myself 10 chapters later), like when the main characters are assigned one chapter, next chapter containing another character and so forth and keeps changing.  This is another great element because, again, I have to keep reading to find out where I was left hanging.  I am reading a book for review and it has all of this and having a hard time putting it down.  Its Buying Time by
Pamela Samuels-Young.
My Question:
Do you like short or long detailed reviews?
My Answer:
I prefer reading short detailed reviews.  I just want to get the bottom line as if I should put it on my list.  Did the reviewer like it, why or why not.  Were the characters brought to life.  Did it hold your interest, etc etc.  Since finding this world of reviewing/blogging, my tbr bucket list is huge.  And since there are so many books and reviews, I just want to know if I might be interestsed in it and add to my ever growing list.
Caite’s Question:
Do you belong to an online book site, like Library Thing, Shelfari and Goodreads and if so why? For you own record keeping and organization or primarily for the social aspects, posting, book reviews and such?

My Answer:
I belong to all three GR, LT, and Shelfari for many reasons. For posting reviews, see what others think about the same books I have read, entering early reviewers contests and try lol to becoming more organized with my piles of books, not there yet but am adding little by little.

Its Monday, What are you reading? (3 of 3)

EBook Download
This EBook was downloaded to my Sony Ereader this week. At the request of the author as a favor, he asked that I read this pending digital mini, and give my honest opinion as a reader and consumer, before he self submits it to an indie online publishing site.

All I was told is that it is a suspense, unlike the book he is currently on virtual tour with Pump Up Your Book, which is in the romance genre.  You may recognize the name, you might have even read the book, which is:

For those that may be interested in this digital short,  I will give you all or any information as I get it from the author.

EBooks Purchased:
Both of these digital shorts are written by, Vincent Zandri,  author of “The Remains” and “Moonlight Falls”.

Slapdash Sunday Topic: Review Requests ? (1 of 2)

SUNDAY
Photobucket
Question for those that use/have a blogspot address:
Is anyone having trouble today adding pictures to their posts or is it my computer?
Photobucket
Hosted by Kayla at The Eclectic Element

Slapdash Sunday is a day for your proverbial week ‘leftovers.’ Is there something you wanted to say, but just forgot? Is there something you want to write about, but isn’t worth a whole page? Do you have a random thought, funny or otherwise that needs to be written down?
That is what Slapdash Sunday is for!

Photobucket
The other day I added and catalogued the newest book I received to be reviewed.  As I looked at my pile, I started thinking, which is usually dangerous (lol) for me, and thought that the questions I had would be a good topic for today.
Do you get a lot of requests?  Or do you seek out books to review?  Do you think that because of this new phenomenon of social media outlets and book blogging/reviewing sites, that you are getting more requests from publishers, authors and agents?  Are there more requests this year than in the past?
What are your thoughts and/or opinions on this topic….would love to hear.  Lets have a Slapdash Discussion!!

A Bit Of Me (1 of 3)

From her blog:
We all leave our “footprint” on the world, in one way or another. We each, individually, do something or are someone that makes the world a little better just by being here. I created this weekly meme to get to know the blogging community I love just a bit better. To know what makes them tick, outside of books, that is. Each week I will post a question to be answered in the following week’s “A Bit of Me(Me)”. Check back each Saturday to get the info for next week’s post and link up with your current post right here.

This Weeks Question: What’s your favorite food and/or restaurant and why?
This week’s question is has so many answers for me.  And is difficult because I am presently on Nutrisystem lol so this is going to be painful lol  But here goes:
As far as restaurants..we visit a little hole in the wall restaurant where we live that has the BEST Italian food, called Pat’s.  The sauce (or as Italians, which I am as far as heritage, say gravy).  I usually order the Chicken Sorrento, which is chicken parmigian topped with Ricotta cheese and eggplant.  And then there are the chain restaurants that we like and they are Uno’s (my son is the bartender on the weekends), Chelo’s and Chili’s.
Now for food, which is also difficult to answer because I have many “favorites” lol.  As I said, being of Italian heritage, pasta of any kind is of course, a favorite.  And I am also a big seadfood fan.  I also eat a lot of fruit
And, unfortunately, another love of mine and is both a downfall and my comfort food, and it is:
Now you know a little bit more about me and my likes.  What are your favorite foods?  Do you have a favorite restaurant?
