I should have blogged about this yesterday…but its better late than never.  I jumped on Jennifer’s Book Blog Hop over at Crazy For Books (http://www.crazy-for-books.com/).  Info to follow.  I had read that there are quite a few book bloggers out there.  And like the saying…there are never too many books, the same goes with book blogs.  What a great way to meet new friends that have the same love for books as youShe has had a great turnout for her 1st day.  So join in !!!!!! The following is from Crazy For Books:

Hey book bloggers! Every day I seem to find another book blog that I start following. In the spirit of the Friday Follow, I thought it would be cool to do a Book Blog Hop to give us all bookies a chance to connect and find new blogs that we may be missing out on!
Now, I follow a lot of blogs and I haven’t seen this feature yet, so if someone else is doing a Book Blog Hop, please let me know!! I don’t want to step on any toes or anything!
So, if you’d like to participate, just repost this, sign MckLinky below, and check out other blogs in MckLinky! Let’s connect and make new book bloggy friends!!
I’ll try to make a nifty graphic to go along with this, but give me another week to get that done! 🙂
Instructions: Add your BLOG NAME in the Title with a link to your book blog Since this is just getting started, spreading the word would be awesome!!!

Any special plans today?  I am a little behind in reading so this post will be short so I can get some things done around the house, and then I am going to Relax & Read !!!  Have a great Saturday!!!!

From An Island Life: In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, visit An Island Life answer the question and then post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
My question is:   Favorite Girl Scout Cookie?

TWO DAYS IN A ROW…..Yesterday morning with coffee mug in hand and reading my subscribed newsletters, there was my name, I had won Still Life by Joy Fielding from Karen over at Bookin’ With Bingo.  I was so excited since I have started to make my surgery “To Do List” and thought this one is definitely going to the hospital with me.
Then today…once again…same routine, except this time I almost choked on my coffee.  Rachel, who has accepted the torch from J.Kayes Book Blog, and is now  Home Girl’s Book Blog has passed on this award to me.  You really should stop by her blog….she has a unique style of posting that has never failed to make me smile.  I so take these awards seriously and appreciate them.  To think just a few months ago, I was stalking blogs, reading the reviews and wishing to join in the fun.  And now, here I am, accepting and being accepted into the nicest and friendliest neighborhood of blogs. Thank you again Rachel !!  Now for the blog and it’s criteria:

Photobucket
1. Every winner of the Prolific Blogger Award has to pass on this award to at least seven other deserving prolific bloggers. Spread some love!

2. Each Prolific Blogger must link to the blog from which he/she has received the award.
3. Every Prolific Blogger must link back to This Post, which explains the origins and motivation for the award.
4. Every Prolific Blogger must visit this post and add his/her name in the Mr. Linky, so that we all can get to know the other winners.
I am sure that there are some that I am passing this to, that have received it in the past but please enjoy it today and know that I think that you are a “Prolific Blogger”. OK….drum roll please………

Today’s question:
In honor of National Grammar Day … it IS “March Fourth” after all … do you have any grammar books? Punctuation? Writing guidelines? Style books?
More importantly, have you read them?
How do you feel about grammar in general? Important? Vital? Unnecessary? Fussy?
Confession time…so please don’t tell anyone (lol)….but throughout my education, I found some aspects of grammar difficult. So I am thinking, I should have kept those books. But with the technology of today who needs reference books? However, I do feel it is very important. I think that all the positives of technology there are quite a few negatives for the youth of today. I know when I hear those that are our future talking, I cringe. Maybe I am just old fashioned but I find it sad that some appear not to be able to put 2 sentences together. So yes…I feel it is both vital and important.

Last week I didn’t go on my treasure hunt for new blogs, and not sure if I will be able to do it next week (have appointments every single day to start the preop procedure), I am definitely doing it today. I noticed on Home Girl’s Book Blog (http://j-kaye-book-blog.blogspot.com/) newsletter, there were quite a few blogs new to me so, Thank you Rachel for sharing your blog roll.

Has this happened to you?  How should a situation like this be handled?  Any tips and/or suggestions.
I was asked, and I accepted to read a “book” for review.  It was stated it was a PDF format so I thought I would be able to d/l to my EReader.  So no problem….wrong.  Contacted the agent if the PDF for EReader could be sent.  Was told that only permission that the agent had was for a d/l to computer.  I personally have a hard time reading a text that big on my computer for certain reasons, like bringing it to appointments, cumbersome in certain positions when reading, etc etc.  Since I accepted this before knowing all this, I am having a “things that make you go hmmmm blogging reviewing etiquette question.  Would it be appropriate to not review and let the agent know or just struggle with it?
ANY AND ALL COMMENTS WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED !!!!!!

My words this week are a bit difference.  My current read, Waking Up In The Land Of Glitter has Spanish and “Spanglish” terms, and the author has kindly provided a glossary of these words.  So this is just a few I have learned, but might need in the future lol.
