Awards

I first owe a huge apology to Lisa from Lisa’s World of Books and Ellie from Books, Fitness & Other Stuff.  They each have presented me with an award and I am just getting to post about them.  As some of you know that I have been having some personal issues that has had to take preference above everything else..  But, by all means, it doesn’t lessen how appreciative I am and what a warm feeling I get, that 2 of my fellow (or should I say Gal) bloggers think that my blog and I deserve these awards.

The first warm and fuzzy was presented by Lisa from Lisa’s World of Books.  A very BIG Thank you Lisa for sharing your award with me.  And for those who haven’t met Lisa, please stop by and say hi.

And now for the criteria and passing the torch (am taking a little liberty here as we all know that we love receiving awards but it is time consuming and takes away from reading time, so I hope you don’t mind, if I change the rules a bit)
1. Accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award and his or her blog link.

2. Pass the award to 15 3 other blogs that you’ve newly discovered.
3. Remember to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award.
Passing it on to (in no particular order):

Hubby is going to be very happy today because I can turn down the thermostat, more warm and fuzzy feelings.  Ellie from Books, Fitness & Other Stuff passed this new one on to me.  A very BIG Thank you Ellie.  I have never seen this award before

Photobucket
I will also be taking the same liberty with this award.
Criteria:
As a condition of my acceptance of this adorable award, I have to share five three things about myself.

In those five things, four must be partially fictitious, or enhanced realities (read – kinda true, but kinda not), and then one full factoid. I also must pass this award along to seven 3 other awesome bloggers. Feel free to make guesses about which one is the completely true one, I’ll post the answers later in the week!
1.  I wear contacts.
2.  In high school I travelled to Spain, Italy and Africa
3.  Public speaking does not bother me.
Passing it to (in no particular order):

PK Reeves from Aisle B
Gina from Hott Books

GIVEAWAY ENTRY PAGE "Death of a Chimney Sweep" 02/15 to 03/01 ENDED

FEBRUARY 15th to MARCH 1st
DEATH OF A CHIMNEY SWEEP
by M.C. BEATON
SYNOPSIS:
In the south of Scotland, residents get their chimneys vacuum-cleaned. But in the isolated villages in the very north of Scotland, the villagers rely on the services of the itinerant sweep, Pete Ray, and his old-fashioned brushes. Pete is always able to find work in the Scottish highlands, until one day when Police Constable Hamish Macbeth notices blood dripping onto the floor of a villager’s fireplace, and a dead body stuffed inside the chimney. The entire town of Lochdubh is certain Pete is the culprit, but Hamish doesn’t believe that the affable chimney sweep is capable of committing murder. Then Pete’s body is found on the Scottish moors, and the mystery deepens. Once again, it’s up to Hamish to discover who’s responsible for the dirty deed–and this time, the murderer may be closer than he realizes.

Hosted by Miz B at Should Be Reading

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
*Grab your current read
*Open to a random page
*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
*BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

We’re going to have a hard time bringing him in alive.  He has nothing to lose.  He isn’t a glory a glory seeker, trying to see himself in the news.  He’s a pure sociopath who enjoys killing by any available method.”
