This is a meme to list the books completed last week, the books currently being read, and the books to be finished this week
Last week was not a good one when it came to my reading. Found myself in a slump. Hopefully this week will be better.
Set on the coast of Maine over the course of four summers, Red Hook Road tells the story of two families, the Tetherlys and the Copakens, and of the ways in which their lives are unraveled and stitched together by misfortune, by good intentions and failure, and by love and calamity.
A marriage collapses under the strain of a daughter’s death; two bereaved siblings find comfort in one another; and an adopted young girl breathes new life into her family with her prodigious talent for the violin. As she writes with obvious affection for these unforgettable characters, Ayelet Waldman skillfully interweaves life’s finer pleasures–music and literature–with the more mundane joys of living. Within these resonant pages, a vase filled with wildflowers or a cold beer on a hot summer day serve as constant reminders…

I have had so much fun since Friday, when BlogFest began. This being my first time ever to be participating. I have found new blogs and entering many great giveaways. And then to make it even more special, I got that warm and fuzzy feeling. That’s right…you guessed it…I was presented with an award. I know I keep repeating myself but its the truth. No matter how many awards I get, I still get excited just like the first award received. I really never thought my “private personal journal of books read” would become the blog I have today… I am in awe.
Thank you so very much for thinking of me and passing on this award to me. If you haven’t visited, I wish you would, and say hi. LibrarysCat Book List, Reading in 9 Lives (I just love that blog name) has presented me with this award:
Now for the criteria:
The Cherry on top Award Rules are:
Answer this question: If you had the chance to go back and change one thing in your life, would you, and what would it be?
My answer is the same from last week:
What would I change. There are many answers to this question but the main response, which comes with age and wisdom, would be to Enjoy Every Minute, don’t sweat the small stuff, because life goes by as quickly as the snap of your fingers.
PICK 6 people and give them this award. You then have to inform the person that they have gotten this award.
And now I pass this fantastic award on to the following (in no particular order):
