Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
*Grab your current read
*Open to a random page
*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
*BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My Teaser:

Nicky grew nervous, remembering her promise to Jamie that she wouldn’t do anything foolish.

Mailbox Monday / Ad (2 of 3)

Hosted by Marcia at The Printed Page
Mailbox Monday is one of my favorite memes.  I love visiting other blogs to see what they received in their mailbox, if they got some of the same books as me and to see what books they now added to their tbr pile.  Since I started accepting requests to review, I don’t think my mailbox is big enough to hold all the books that get delivered, as you will see, so have been contemplating buying a bigger  mailbox, to hold all the great books that I receive.

Today’s Topic:
Do you review books? If so, for who?  If not, have you ever thought about doing so? Why, or why not?

My Response:
I started  officially accepting ” requested review books” in December, which is when I made my blog public, after the encouragement of some fellow bloggers, and I consider will be my “anniversary”.  Before that my blog was used as a “personal review” of books I had read and to participate in challenges and memes.  I originally thought that “review requests” would be far and few between.  I was wrong.  Since then I have developed working relationships with quite a few publishers, authors and agents.  I am reluctant to start naming them in case I miss a few but am totally amazed at how many there are.  I never thought my blog would reach that kind of level.  I am also, pleasantly surprised, when an independent agent or author contacts me regarding a book, it’s a hmmmm moment as to how they found me.  Reviewing and blogging have become a huge part of my life, which I thoroughly enjoy!!

Slapdash Sunday Time?

SUNDAY

Slapdash Sunday is a day for your proverbial week ‘leftovers.’ Is there something you wanted to say, but just forgot? Is there something you want to write about, but isn’t worth a whole page? Do you have a random thought, funny or otherwise that needs to be written down?
That is what Slapdash Sunday is for!
     This weeks topic:  Time
I now realize how much time it takes to read review books in a timely manner, writing reviews,  participating in memes, visiting others’ blogs and keeping my blog current and updated.  A positive in my slow post operative recuperation is that I have time to do all of the above.  But I know this won’t last.  So I was wondering how do you allocate your time between the above and then activities of daily life, be it job, household needs and just “real life” in general.

Do you have a schedule?  Do you give yourself time limits?  How much time do you spend on household, reading and blog upkeep?  How do you juggle it all?
