2. Life is too short, so appreciate the moment?
3. Upon reflection, shouldn’t have ordered the rug from National Direct.
4. It seems that I have been in recuperation mode for quite a long time.
5. Later, you wake up and find that you forgot to get the coffee pot ready.
6. Can’t see the end to the far and boundless sea.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to relaxing and having quality time with hubby, tomorrow my plans include my weekly computer to-do list, then outside to sit by and in the pool with my book and Sunday, I want to do the same!
Friday Fill-Ins (3 of 3)
Aloha Friday (1 of 3)
From An Island Life:
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, visit An Island Life answer the question and then post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
Do you burn candles? What is or are your favorite scent(s)?
My answer:
I light my Yankee Candle(s) as soon as I get my coffee. My favorite scents are Blueberry, Sparkling Vanilla, Star Gazer Lily, Honeydew Melon and Lilac to name a few.

This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs that they may not know existed! So, grab the logo, post about the Hop on your blog, and start HOPPING through the list of blogs that are posted in the Linky list below!!
The Hop lasts Friday-Monday every week, so if you don’t have time to Hop today, come back later and join the fun! This is a weekly event! And stop back throughout the weekend to see all the new blogs that are added! We get over 200 links every week!!
Your blog should have content related to books, including, but not limited to book reviews.
If you start following someone through the Hop, leave a comment on their blog to let them know! Stop back during the week to see other blogs that are added! And, most importantly, the idea is to HAVE FUN!!
TODAY’S TWIST:
RIGHT THIS INSTANT, WHAT BOOK ARE YOU DYING TO GET YOUR HANDS ON (PAST, PRESENT, OR FUTURE)?
MY ANSWER:
I have quite a few in my TBR Review Pile that I am anxious to read, but can’t because I have to honor my “Review Policy” whereas I read in order of receiving. To be honest, I can’t wait to read all of them (see right sidebar) but there are two that I am “DYING TO GET MY HANDS ON” and they are both “new” authors that I read their earlier books .
One is the manuscript for Titanic 2012 that was sent to me by the author, Bill Walker. I read his earlier book back in February and loved it, A Note from an Old Acquaintance. I am honored that he asked that I read his manuscript and give my honest opinion, even before it goes to press.
The second is also a “new” author, Vincent Zandri. I read and reviewed his book, Moonlight Falls, and it was like reading a Patterson book. His newest, The Remains, is on bestseller lists already and getting rave reviews, but, again I have to wait and follow my “Review Policy” criteria.
Guess I will have to read faster so I can get to these 2 books.

Well, folks, I don’t know about where you are, but right here, it’s HOT.
So … when you think about “hot reading,” what does that make you think of? Beach reading? Steamy romances? Books that take place in hot climates? Or cold ones?
My Response:
A few things come to mind. I guess the first would be a steamy romance but I don’t usually read that genre. What also comes to mind is reading while sitting by or in the pool with my book. And HOT also makes me think of a really good book that I had trouble putting down. And yes, it is hot and humid here in New England. What do you think when you hear “Hot Reading”?

Guest Author Julie Hyzy
Today I would like to introduce you to, the very busy Julie Hyzy. She is the author of the White House Chef series, coauthor of Dead Ringer, and team member of the blog, Mystery Lovers’ Kitchen. Today she is stopping by to tell us a bit about her new series, the Manor House Mystery series. So please help me welcome Ms. Hyzy to my blog.
Julie Hyzy’s first experience with food included flipping burgers and chopping onions at a neighborhood hot dog stand. She traded that experience for a job as a singing waitress at Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour — but gave that up when she started college (and because she couldn’t carry a tune).
Over the years, she’s acted in community theater productions, appeared in television commercials, and crashed a previously all-male fraternity to become one of the first female brothers in Loyola University’s Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi. Julie had dreams of becoming a writer, but family, friends, and frat brothers convinced her otherwise. Having held positions as junior officer at a downtown bank, office manager at an architectural firm, and financial advisor at a prestigious wealth management company, she realizes that the business degree was probably a good choice — but fiction is truly her passion. Now, with some well-earned life experience behind her, she’s delighted to finally be able to make writing a priority in her life.

Everyone wants a piece of millionaire Bennett Marshfield, owner of Marshfield Manor, but now it’s up to a new curator Grace Wheaton and handsome groundskeeper Jack Embers to protect dear old Marshfield. But to do this, they’ll have to investigate a botched Ponzi scheme, some torrid Wheaton family secrets-and sour grapes out for revenge.
Watch for my review of Grace Under Pressure in the coming weeks.

A big ooops on my part. And an apology. I usually add books to my “TBR Reading Schedule” (located on right sidebar) as soon as I receive them. I also put a post-it on the book with the number in sequence, date I received, and who requested the review. As I was going through my pile this morning to check on a different matter, I noticed that I had omitted posting Sidney Sheldon’t Mistress Of The Game by Tilly Bagshawe. It is the next book that I need to read according to my “Review Policy”. I apology to publishers, authors and/or agents for this mistake if you are following my progress in my reading schedule in relation to when your book will be read.
