Aloha Friday

Hosted by An Island Life

From An Island Life:
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, visit An Island Life answer the question and then post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

This week’s question:
A while ago, I interviewed my readers for a change, and my final question was, “What question have I NOT asked at BTT that you’d love me to ask?” I got some great responses and will be picking out some of the questions from time to time to ask the rest of you. Like now.
Heidi had an assortment of questions to ask:
Do you consider yourself an extrovert or an introvert?

My answer:
It depends on the situation, but overall consider myself an extrovert.  I can be very chatty if I feel comfortable with the people around me.  However, if I am in the company of people I just met, I usually will ask questions and take on the role of listener, to get to know them better.  And if I’m in an environment, for example a doctor’s office, on the beach in Aruba (sorry but am wishing that we were still there since the weather here is rainy and cool),  restaurant, I would not just start a conversation with someone unless they talked to me first, BUT, if they have a book in hand, then I would initiate a conversation.   Books are always great conversation starters.

What about you?  Are you an extrovert or introvert?

W.W.W. Wednesday

Hi All!!  Hope everyone is well.  If you noticed that I hadn’t been visiting blogs this past week, the reason was that hubby and I were on vacation in Aruba.  We returned last night.   It was a great getaway, one that we desperately needed after the year we put in.  The weather was beautiful, except for Saturday, where it rained the majority of the day, which is quite unusual for Aruba.  We also had some rain Sunday and Monday, but we stayed under our palapa (hut) and within 10-15 min, the rain stopped, the sun came back out and the temperature was 88-90 degree.  We spent every day on the beach, reading and sipping a couple of frozen drinks until about 5-6pm then we would get ready and out to eat.  We both love it there and it is the perfect paradise for a relaxing and laid back vacation.   I have a lot of catching up to do between emails, blogging posts and Partners In Crime Tours, so I better get to work.  More on our vacation on Sunday Salon’s post.

Teaser Tuesday

Hosted by Miz B at Should Be Reading

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
*Grab your current read
*Open to a random page
*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
*BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

“Emma!”   Megan ran outside calling her baby’s name.   She stopped in the middle of the driveway and scanned the area.   Nothing.

May is being hosted by Martha  from Martha’s Bookshelf

Mailbox Monday was created by Marcia of A girl and her books and is now on tour.

According to Marcia, “Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.
